So, I played this game on my old Xbox (no longer with us) back on launch. I really want to replay it and with the new 60 fps patch on PS5 now I'm conflicted. I have a RX 5700, Ryzen 5 3600, 16 gig ram. I played a bit of Valhalla on PC and PS5 (cross progression) but the PS5 version has been much smoother. Has Odyssey become better optimized on PC?

Assassin's Creed Odyssey, el último antes de Valhalla, se actualizará mañana en PS5 y Xbox Series X|S para ejecutarse a 60 fps, al moverlo por retrocompatibilidad.

The latest patch for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla now adds Performance and Quality modes for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. via Ubisoft. AC Valhalla Patch. Patch 1.0.4 is here for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and it's a big one. On Xbox Series X and S you can expect to download 5.3GB. Things are much better on the PS5 where the download is
One of the biggest advantages is the addition of 60 FPS support for PS4 on PS5, offering a silky-smooth performance and often removing the frame rate cap from the previous-gen console. The PS5 is also able to enable certain games to run in Native 4K resolution, so be sure to check out our full list of those games here.
Odyssey’s world looked fantastic and was more fun to travel in. Would revisit Odyssey if there was a new trophy list. I haven’t played Origins yet. I think I heard it had elephants and I love
AC Odyssey. It looks like games nowadays have new technologies like dynamic resolution to ensure the highest resolution at a stable framerate. There are some extremely good looking games that run at a stable 60fps on series X already like Hitman 3, Forza Horizon, Gears, Hellblade etc.
I have entry level pc, old GTX 1060 6gb card and I'm guessing it will be minimum for 1080p. But, I also have ps5 and 4k TV, so I will definitely play it on ps5 since I don't care about mods and this way I can enjoy both high resolution and framerate (I'm certain it will support 60fps mode). So if you are like me then I would suggest ps5. 2. On the next menu, scroll down to "Screen and Video" – you'll find the option halfway down the list. 3. Scroll down to " Enable 120 Hz Output ’" and make sure it’s switched to “Automatic

A new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla patch is adding an official 60 frames per second mode and fixing a handful of bugs. The biggest part of the update allows PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions

AC Odyssey felt higher than 60fps, twas super smooth. Hopefully this is the same. They just need to "port the same patch" to PS5. AC Syndicate have never had any issues on base PS4 except
Assassin's Creed Origins reset the series back to the ancient world. Ubisoft previously added a 60fps option to Origins sequel Odyssey, the series' brilliant entry set in Ancient Greece.Similarly
Hey everyone! So, it’s been a while since I finished my Odyssey playthrough on PC, and since I recently bought a PS5 I am inclined to buy the game again to play it with much better graphics. Will I be able to transfer my progress from PC to PS5? Note: I am based in Europe and I don’t have Ubisoft+

PS5 uses a dynamic resolution with the highest native resolution found being 2880x1620 and the lowest native resolution found being approximately 1824x1026. Native resolution pixel counts at 2880x1620 seem to be uncommon on PS5. PS5 uses temporal upsampling that can reconstruct a 2880x1620 resolution when rendering natively below this resolution.
Even in 2022, we're getting AC Origins updates, this time for 60fps gameplay on PS5 (PlayStation 5), Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. AC Odyssey Is a Lot Like Origins and We're Cool With That.

Odyssey is playable on a HDD and on PS5 it is just a patch. Origins is just mislabeled because ultimately, it doesn’t matter. Just a side effect of the way Xbox labels these.

The Series Consoles and PS5 are more than capable of running any Assassin's Creed game at a constant 60fps, if it can run Odyssey at constant 60 then it definitely is no issue running Origins at 60 or even 120. Try playing it at 1080p or 2k. 4K is very taxing to the system, and in 2k or 1080p you will have a more stable experience. I've finished the game in PS4 Slim and now I'm finishing in my PC and playing 1080p 60fps is rather beautiful experience in Odyssey but in the cities frames tend to drop. This is a engine problem and not a specs problem. .
